Non-Lime Bonded Silica Brick for Glass Kiln NGK-99
Features
■By applying the non-lime bonded firing process, the silica brick without lime bonded NGK-99 shows better performance and more stable properties;
■Compared with the normal silica brick used for the crown of glass furnace,the alkali resistance properties of the none-lime bonded silica brick has been improved significantly.
■ Microstructure of the non-lime bonded silica brick:
The new non-lime bonded silica brick is mainly composed of cristobalite, which improves the performance under higher temperature, and makes the R.U.L higher. Its low expansion property makes it very stable when being operated for long time in the furnace. The existance of amorphous silica improves its thermal shock resistance performance;
■ Thermal expansion of the non-lime bonded silica brick:
The thermal expansion of NGK-99 is between that of normal silica bricks and zero expansion silica brick NGK-99, no shrinkage occurs which ensures longer service under high temperature.
